The first thing we can all do in having attractive hands is to keep them clean by washing regularly.

To take out stains from your nails, merge one tablespoon of lemon juice in a cup of water and steep your nails in this liquid for a few minutes. Then, wash off with warm water and apply a hand moisturizer.
To harden soft nails, steep them in warm olive oil for about 20 minutes, on interchange days.
Avoid using your nails as tools. This means no picking, scratching, digging, pinching, etc. You know who you are! Increase the amount of calcium in your diet.
Use products containing alcohol, especially perfumed lotions, sparingly. These items can make nails prone to breaking. Wear rubber gloves when you do household tasks that involve repetitive submersion in water or contact with harsh detergents or chemicals.

To clean cuticle, you must make use of good quality cuticle oil and gently push back the cuticles, with the help of an orangewood stick.
If you want to give a natural gloss to your nails, similar to the colorless base coat, rub petroleum jelly on your nails and then buff them, with the help of a soft cloth.
In case you have on nail polish, make sure to give your nails a break from time to time. In other words leave them with no polish for only some days, every now and then. Otherwise, they will build up an ugly, yellow shade.
